Product Information
Brazil Nut (Bertholletia excelsa Humb & Blonp.) is a sylban product, from Amazonia. In Bolivia there are ideal conditions for the development of Brazil nut tree, in a large area in the north of the country.
Brazil nuts are spherical shaped coconuts, are light Brown, and has from 10 to 15 cm. In diameter, weighing between 900 to 1800 grams each; inside the coconut, the fruit is stringy, fibrous and woody, with a thickness of 6 mm, and contains from fifteen to thirty-five nuts.
Brazil nuts are collected by local cooperatives in the Amazon, during the period known as harvest, which begins in the month of November of each year and lasts approximately 8 months.

First Class. (Whole Nuts)
Medium. 110-130 kernels per pound
Midget. 130-160 kernels per pound
Second Class. Also called Chipped,
Third Class. Broken. Size 1/3 to 2/3 of kernel.
PACKAGING DETAILS
The product is packed in aluminized vacuum bags, weighing 44 pounds or 20 kg. net.
The product is then packaged in boxes, according to the standard used in this product worldwide.
Generally, Brazil nut exports are made by a number of 800 cartons equivalent to a full container (20 Ft.)
